iPoort as a world café

Today I ended up in The Hague's iPoort --subsidary of Nieuwspoort-- the journalists' political hotspot in the Netherlands, thanks to an invitation of BPM Forum. My table host role as a Business Intelligence expert was to facilitate and stimulate lively discussions in a world café format on the theme of "Decentralisatie van overheidstaken naar gemeenten. Is de informatievoorziening al geregeld?".

To sum up: first things first, get municipalities to handle the basic tasks before January 1, 2015, which requires additional vertical (governmental) support on standardisation of syntactic and semantic interoperability issues. And information security. Only then, potential ICT-based innovations around data analytics and open data can be sensibly implemented and deployed.

All these efforts are in support of the three main strategic goals: (1) Better care, at (2) Lower cost, delivered (3) Closer to the ones who need social care support.
