This morning I gave a lecture on Knowledge discovery in the Knowledge Management course in the Master Business Informatics (MBI). After discussing how to position the research field of Knowledge discovery in the context of Knowledge Management, I talked about three Knowledge discovery processes to help achieve organisational goals: the KDD process, the CRISP-DM model, and the Three-phases method, including some tidbits about data quality and competitive intelligence.
