LECTURE: Knowledge infrastructures: Systems & Technologies

posted Jun 14, 2011, 6:23 AM by Marco Spruit
This morning I gave a lecture on Knowledge infrastructures in the Knowledge Management course in the Master Business Informatics (MBI). After discussing what a knowledge management system (KMS) is, and providing four different views to help structure the diversity in KMSs (i.e. knowledge as a product vs process; AI-based or conventional types of IT support; KMS application type; integrative vs interactive knowledge processes), I discussed knowledge-based systems, knowledge repositories, and even a bit about groupware and web 2.0 technologies.
