I just gave my Mixed Methods guest lecture in the Advanced Research Methods course in our MBI programme on Mixed Methods Research, based on Johnson & Onwuegbuzie's (2004) paper Mixed Methods Research: A Research Paradigm Whose Time Has Come, which states that Mixed methods research is "...the class of research where the researcher mixes or combines quantitative and qualitative research techniques, methods, approaches, concepts or language into a single study". After a little theory I spent most of my time explaining three of my recent projects to make my case for the mixed methods research paradigm.
