My information systems research revolves around Knowledge Discovery processes to help achieve organisational goals through:
(i) Data Mining techniques to discover relevant information from raw data,
(ii) Business intelligence methods to help understand, implement and monitor processes through actionable information,
(iii) Linguistic Engineering techniques to transform unstructured text into meaningful information, and
(iv) Web 2.0 technologies to incorporate the collective knowledge of communities.

In addition, since the following two research areas encompass the entire Knowledge Discovery process, I also consider:
(v) Information Security models to safeguard against the increasing technological and societal complexities related to Knowledge Discovery, and
(vi) Cloud Computing frameworks as infrastructural enablers for massively scalable and flexible Knowledge Discovery processes.
