CESCA is an acronym for Cell Screening Analysis, as performed in the Cell Screening Center of the UMCU Cell Biology Department, which specializes in automated high throughput screening experiments. In this partnership your task will be to develop and implement bioinformatics knowledge discovery processes and techniques to help analyze high content multiparameter data. The CESCA project’s goal is to gain new insights into the mechanism of action of small molecule compounds or the interaction of genes to advance cancer drug discovery and stem cell biology, among others.

If you have an active interest in combining data mining techniques from a method engineering perspective, then please contact me for more information. See also my open MSc thesis topic description.
